Wellness Chiropractic

Chiropractic care is regularly known for its treatment of neck and back pain; however, chiropractic care impacts the majority of the body's framework and a variety of conditions and pains.

Chiropractic is a science and art which concerns itself with the relationship between structure (primarily the spine) and function (primarily the nervous system) as that relationship may affect the restoration and preservation of health. Health is a state of optimal physical, mental, and social well-being, not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.

We understand that the only way for the human body to function optimally is if the nervous system is healthy. The nervous system controls the overall function of every organ, cell, and tissue in the body. For your nervous system to communicate effectively, your spinal support system must be well-balanced, aligned, and mobile. Misalignments, also known as subluxations, are nervous system disturbances. When one or more of the 24 vertebrae in the spine become misaligned and/or do not move properly, this condition occurs. This results in altered nerve function and nervous system interference. These spinal misalignments can occur without your knowledge. This may cause pain or dysfunction since only 10% of the central nervous system is responsible for pain sensation, or it may completely not show any symptoms.

An adjustment corrects and/or reduces subluxations. A chiropractic adjustment is the application of specific forces to correct or reduce vertebral subluxation. Our chiropractic method of spinal correction involves precise spinal adjustments. Adjustments are typically made by hand, but handheld instruments may also be used.

Gentle adjustments remove interference to allow for free nerve flow and restore joint motion to preserve structural integrity and joint health. Chiropractors are the only trained health professionals who can ensure that your spine is properly aligned and that your nervous system is functioning normally.

Chiropractic care is an essential component of any health program, comparable to exercise and proper nutrition. Consistency is crucial because it allows problems to be addressed before they become major issues.
